Our summer semester offers you flexibility by providing courses that vary in length and start dates.

Current NKU Students
This is the last chance to take advantage of 2008-09 tuition rates. Get ahead, catch up, or stay on pace to graduate. And for the first time ever, NKU students who enroll in the summer and attend classes in fall 2009 will be entered into a drawing to win one of ten 2009-10 student parking passes courtesy of NKU Enrollment Management. That's right - just enroll in one or more summer classes and you might win a free 2009-10 student parking pass!

New Students
Get ahead by taking summer courses. This summer focus on one or two courses in small classes that average 24 students. Engage in interactive learning in face-to-face classes or online courses.
Steps to enroll in summer classes: Apply for summer 2009 admission as a freshman or transfer student and submit the necessary credentials prior to the start of classes
Visiting Students
You attend another college or university but wish to enroll in summer classes at NKU. You can! As a transient student, you are offered the convenience and flexibility of taking NKU courses and having the credits transferred back to your home university.
Steps to enroll in summer classes:

You are responsible for determining if the courses taken at NKU will transfer to your home institution. Work with your academic advisor or transfer counselor at your home institution to learn how the NKU courses will transfer.
Financial aid is not available to non-degree seeking students, transient students.
Your transcripts will not be requested during the application process to NKU, but should you need a specific course or courses to satisfy a prerequisite for the NKU course you will be taking, you will need to be prepared to provide an official transcript to the appropriate academic department chair.
If you wish to change your status to a transfer student after attending as a visiting student, you must reapply as a transfer student and submit a new application fee.
